Are you truly living a wholehearted life?
Did you happen to take time out to look at the amazing clouds on Sunday? I saw hearts, feathers and angel shapes of all types from various cloud forms. It was absolutely breathtaking.
It made me think, how many times have I not taken the time to look up and just observe the magnificence that surrounds me?
It is no coincidence that I just started to read The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown. https://www.amazon.ca/Gifts-Imperfection-Think-Supposed-Embrace/dp/159285849X She talks about what it is that makes people live a “wholehearted” life. A few words she included in her “do” column were “rest, play, trust, faith, intuition, hope, authenticity, joy, gratitude, and creativity.” Some of the words in her “don’t” column were “perfection, exhaustion, self-sufficiency, scarcity, judgment.”
She goes on to explain how she did not want to see these findings of hers, because the words in the “Don’t” column defined her. Something that I could totally relate to. A quote she said that really resonated for me is “Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
Here is to each of us taking the time to go within and just “be” with ourselves. Here is to each of us gifting ourselves the time to play, to rest and to find joy and express gratitude for the little things. Here is to each of us embracing our beautiful imperfections and truly loving ourselves on all levels. Here is to each of us having a totally fantabulous day!
Sending loads of sunshine your way.
