Symbolism of the Dragonfly
Yesterday, I gifted myself with a nice, long walk outside in the afternoon. I was in total awe of the number of dragonflies that were swarming around me. It was absolutely magical. I then passed by a person biking along the trail listening to his i-Pod and I wondered whether he was even seeing any of the magic that was all around him. Right after this, I had a dragonfly land right beside me. I kneeled down to watch it and was so taken by the beauty of its iridescent wings. I knew that there was a message it was trying to communicate to me because it stayed there until I stood up.
Dragonfly medicine helps to break illusions. They represent a place where magic use to reign. They deal with “change, wisdom and enlightenment and communications from the elemental world.
